A Roman 21.5 ct gold ring with a garnet intaglio depicting a head of Cupid facing right. The details of the face are very well realised and the quality of this carving is extraordinar; round hoop. For similar see: El Legado de Hefesto n. 459. This piece has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
