Description

This oblong 5" X 7 3/4" gilt stamped and illustrated leather album has all edges gilt, silver decorated spine and front, a gilt and silver vignette on front cover and a title page color vignette. The album is notable for the eight color lithographic views and eight black-and-white wood engravings of various scenes throughout the United States and Canada. This has dates from the 1860s to the 1890s. Locations noted are Virginia City, Montana, Ogden, Utah. It appears to be an autograph book from a student The Woman's Medical College in Pennsylvania. This is in very nice condition. Please see photos for more details.
