Description
Approximately 1,000 of these high standing breech variants produced around the time of the Civil War. Bright blue finished ejectorless 5" octagon barrel with brass cone front sight, drift adjustable v-notch rear sight, and 1-line address. Nickel finished spur trigger frame with varnished walnut grips. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains the majority of thinning factory blue with high edge wear and other marks. Frame retain nearly all of its partially clouded nickel, some surface scratching and light high edge wear present. Grips have some scattered impressions and retain the majority of their original varnish. Strong bore with abrasion near the breech. Assembly number "3" observed on fame and barrel.
