This scarce printer's proof of the famous "Style A" first printing features artwork by Tom Jung. This rolled, never-folded poster is highly sought after. This style poster had four different printings of this "Style A" one sheet poster. The first printing had the original NSS number of 77-21-0, while the subsequent three printings had the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all had "Style A" printed on the bottom border, while the fourth printing didn't.

A very clean linen-backed poster.

Before a poster is printed in larger quantities, a limited number of posters are used as "test" posters. They would need to be shown to studio heads, marketing execs, and anyone needing to give approval. Often, they would leave the color bar on the edge of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster. Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to approve them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. A printer's test poster is far rarer than a regular poster.
