The Italians produced some of the most magnificent posters for their release of the films and, in many instances, made the US poster look very second-class. This beautiful image is no exception.

The poster has several pinholes and snags, but the colors remain bright and beautiful. This is a perfect candidate for restoration.

Bette Davis stars as Tudor queen Elizabeth I in this fictionalized historical romance about a doomed love affair between the monarch and the Earl of Essex (Errol Flynn). Michael Curtiz directed the film, which stars Olivia de Havilland as Lady Penelope Gray.
