Albert Rittenhouse was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 15, 1840. He was the son of David and Sarah Rittenhouse. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a medical degree in 1862. After graduating from medical school, Rittenhouse served as a surgeon in the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, Rittenhouse returned to Philadelphia and established a medical practice. He was a member of the American Medical Association and the Philadelphia County Medical Society. He was also a member of the Clover Club, a social and dining club for Philadelphia gentlemen. Rittenhouse died in Philadelphia on January 1, 1920. He was 80 years old. Extemely Rare

Notes & Literature: Photographer Charles Draper was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1830. He was the son of David and Sarah Draper. He attended a local school and then went to work as an apprentice to a photographer. Draper opened his own studio in Philadelphia in the 1860s. His work was known for its high quality and artistic sensibility. He was a member of the Philadelphia Photographic Society and his work was exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in 1876. Draper died in Philadelphia in 1890. He was 60 years old.
