Painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene depicting figures engaged in various pursuits including painting a vase, flanked by flowers and with birds and insects overhead, the inside with a similar vignette within iron-red concentric circles and a gilt border of alternating trellis panels and scrollwork inside the rim, the footrim gilt, 16.2cm across; 7.8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 13., impressed Dreher's mark oo for Johann Gottlieb Kühnel

Condition
There is scattered flaking and very minor wear around the edge of the gilt rim. There is a small area of flaking to the black enamel of the hat of the larger of the two figures, and one tiny spot of flaking of green enamel to a leaf of the flower bush in the vignette inside the bowl.
