The colors of this daybill are bright and vibrant; however, the edge has several small tears and chipping near the fold lines. The large tears have been reinforced with archival tape.

Following her film debut in The Wizard of Oz, Judy Garland co-starred with Mickey Rooney in 1939's Babes in Arms. Directed by Busby Berkeley and based on the 1937 Broadway musical of the same name, a group of teenagers whose vaudevillian parents doubt their talent band together to perform in a show and succeed on Broadway. It was one of the 100 biggest movies of 1939 and was nominated for Academy Awards in Best Music Score and a Best Actor in a Leading Role nod for Rooney.
