Excellent quality with a regionalist style. I am sure it is a Southern scene most likely showing Charleston SC. The first building on the left reminds me of the unique old fashioned buildings which you can still see in that city. Also, there is an inscription on reverse that reads "To daughter Grace to be handed down to my grandchildren ??? kept in the family. Bertha Cameron ??? I found a geneological site which listed a Bertha Cameron with a daughter Grace who was 52 years old in 1940 and living in Greenville South Carolina (Please see the last photo). Very similar to works by famous Charlston SC artist Alfred Hutty. While I am unable to positively attribute the work, it is easy to find multiple street scenes with similar subjects and perpectives by Hutty.
