Young boy pointing out a passage in a book. James Northcote (1746 - 1831) was active/lived in England. James Northcote is known for Portrait, history and lofty-subject painting. Oil on canvas. Circa 1790. Canvas: 29 x 24 in. Antique giltwood frame: 38 x 33 in. Condition: Very good overall condition. Minor aging in paint. Under blacklight: No visible repairs or inpainting. Touchup on face. A pleasure to view! Provenance: Purchased from London auction house in the 1980's and since has been hanging in the Jack and Peggy McDowell estate on the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta.
