Description
attributed to JAMES NORTHCOTE (British 1746-1831) A PAINTING, "Full Length Portrait of a Child with Pearl Turban and Pet Bird," oil on canvas, stretcher marked "G. Morrill Liner," and in chalk "Blond." 43 1/2" x 36" Provenance: The personal collection of Colonel Frederick Gustavus Burnaby, member of the Royal Horse Guards, a cavalry regiment of the British Army.
Condition
Canvas now cut down and circa 1857-1865 stretched on wax applied canvas liner, some holes, surface wear, scratches, inpainting, mild fading of paint, some losses of paint, but overall in fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age.
