This beautiful piece was made around the 1880s, likely in Central Europe, and features a hand carved shell cameo of a chariot with a putto in an ornate 14K gold frame. Good antique condition with some wear to the cameo surface and a missing piece at the bottom which doesn't really reduce the piece's appeal since it is in line with the surface the chariot is racing on and thus seems intentional. This gorgeous piece measures approx. 1 1/2" long x 1 1/8" wide and weighs ca. 5.5 grams. Tested for 14K gold.
