Description
China. Finely carved, the naturalistic furled pad cupped to form the conical shaped vessel with an uneven mouth rim, supported on a leaf-shaped base issuing buds and blossoms borne on leafy stems, one forming the open worked handle, the surface of a warm brown tone.
Provenance: From a French private collection.
Condition: Very good condition with some old wear, minimal natural imperfections, scratches to base, very minor nibbling to edges, traces of use. Fine, naturally grown patina of an elegant golden-brown color overall.
