French percussion double barrel gun by master gunsmith (Moulard-Dufour a St. Etienne) an excellent early 19th century manufacture with Damascus steel double barrels both with varying decorations of Damascus. The lock plates each marked with engraved suns and inlaid in gold reading (Moulard Dufour & A St. Etienne). Each lock plate with backgrounds of hunting scenes. Engraved and dolphin chiseled hammers original and without stress cracks. Chiseled trigger guard with a mid relief lion in the hunt and engraved panels below. The stock with a mid-relief 10-point buck beautifully carved. Stock butt plate with a hinged opening chamber. Size 47 1/2" L, barrel 31 1/4" L
