AMERICAN FEDERAL BRASS PAIR OF ANDIRONS AND TOOLS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising column-form andirons on wrought-iron bases, raised on plinths and having robust finials to caps and three associated fireplace tools. First half 19th century. Andirons 19" HOA, 21" DOA.

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.

Condition

Good condition, with the brass elements of one example being loose, appearing to have a break to threaded iron section holding the object together. This does not effect the stability, all pieces can stand as-shown.
