Description
Ancient Egypt, Neolithic to Predynastic, Naqada I to II period, ca. 7000 to 3000 BCE. A pair of knapped chert (flint) blades which may have functioned as tools and ritualistic items that could have been deposited in tombs or used during burial. The larger is a triangular, bifacial shape that could have been modeled as a spear head, and the other is rounded with slightly convex faces - possibly a knife or scraper blade. Size of largest: 4" L x 1.9" W (10.2 cm x 4.8 cm)

Minor surface nicks and chips to both. The larger spear head has a nice desert varnish patina to the surface.
