A beautiful group of 14 minerals and crystals including aquamarine, Black Sea agate, and a banded purple agate. The Black Sea agates are cut and polished in areas to a mirror-like finish. The purple agate stone is a pebble that was probably naturally polished by water. The 9 aquamarine crystals range from colorless to a pale blue-green (B grade to A grade), and some have shimmering muscovite and feldspar formations. Size of largest aquamarine: 2.5" L x 1.75" W (6.4 cm x 4.4 cm); smallest agate: 1.3" L x 0.9" W (3.3 cm x 2.3 cm)

In Roman times, aquamarine was thought in antiquity to be a symbol of youth and joy, and the treasure of mermaids, and sailors carried the stone on voyages for protection.
