Description
Gorgeous cut glass magnum champagne pitcher from the American Brilliant period. It is cut by Straus in their Primrose pattern. The top is marked sterling and has a hinged lid. This piece is shown on page 440 in the book "Cut Glass Research Notes" Vol. 4 by Craig Carlson. The long slender body of this champagne gives an elegant feel to this beautiful jug. Photo shows this next to a wine stem for comparison purpose only and the stem is not included in the sale. The pattern is cut with stacked hobstars. Ca. 1900
Dimensions: 17"h. x 4"dia.
Condition
Great condition. No chips or cracks. Free of residue. Sterling has a few minor dings consistent with the age of this piece.
