Description
C. 1910. Valda was created by French pharmacist Henri-Hedmond Canonnes, in 1904 to relieve cough and sore throat. A French window display for Valda throat lozenges, depicting an explorer on camel with the camel handler and a scrolling banner advertising the medicine that has been electrified. The French translation reads "beyond the deserts he carries the good medicine." CONDITION: It is showing light wear from age and use, with light scratches to the painted tin, but nothing offensive. Several areas of light touchup to the bottom advertising panel only. A remarkable piece of motion advertising. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. Condition: (8.0).
