Description
According to a Pulver ad, the Pulver Yellow Kid machine was the first penny chewing gum vending machine made in the USA. This example is considered to be one of the later versions of the wooden Pulver, c. 1899, with the extended product chute. The only automation that is correct for these single column machines is the Yellow Kid, who was the first comic strip character. CONDITION: This example is in nice original condition with the exception of the missing lower back door and the front label. Original clothes on the Yellow Kid, working and vending fine.
