Description
C. 1929. The Watling Co, Chicago Il. A very rare payout/coin return trade stimulator from the 1930s time period. A visually unique machine, it has a front casting with a horse motif, intricate mechanism, great graphics, vibrant paper litho front and more. You select your horse by means of the dial on the front of the machine, then drop your coin in the slot and depress the handle. The colorful reel spins and the winner is the horse farthest in front. If you win, the “Not” sign disappears, indicating that you have gotten your penny back in the cup at the base of the machine! CONDITION: In wonderful original condition, with aged patina front casting, remnants of original paint to the marquee and dial. There is oxidation to the handle, and with keys. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
