AN ANCIENT WEST AFRICAN EFFIGY HEAD OF MAN ON STAND, BURRA-ASINDA-SIKKA CULTURE, NIGER, AD 3RD-11TH CENTURY, sculpted terracotta with a prominent nose ridge intersected by a horizontal brow and small eyes with a slightly open mouth and protruding chin over a tall neck with a rolled edge collar, raised on a custom wood stand.
