DESCRIPTION: Tremendous piece of pictorial lithographic display printing for the 1876 United States Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia, being the PORTLAND, MAINE, printer and lithographer George Stinson & Company’s double-broadside (or poster) on thick paper headlined (at bottom) “IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE UNITED STATES. Approximately 30 x 22.5 inches. Marginally very lightly age-toned with small water stain at bottom left corner (within area to be covered by matt when framed), inconsequential toning toward bottom of right margin, short tear into left margin near center---these defects being confined to unprinted margins---hence, overall good to very good.
