Chinese 19th Century Embroidered Red Silk Coat with Chrysanthemum flowers and Butterflies, with appliqued panels of further Chrysanthemum flowers & Butterflies on black and with ribbon borders, the front opening with 3 gilt bronze Court buttons and 1 silk knot button at neck, the sleeve end embroidered inside to fold back; lined with light blue. Height 55 inches (139.5 cm.) X width across shoulders 60 1/2 inches (153.5 cm.).

Age related wear especially to folded edges, slight staining, and short sections of applique silk now loose.
