Description

A North European Iron Bound and Painted Pine Dome Top Blanket Chest, Mid 19th Century. Fitted with two iron padlocks and inscribed to the front with a name and dated '1854'.

Dimensions: Height 23in; width 40 1/4in; depth 18 1/2in.

Provenance: Property from a Local Collection.

Condition

Appears to be retaining its original surface. Structurally sound. Oxidation, minor rust and pitting to the ironwork overall. Heavy wear and losses to the painted surface. Losses to the base molding along edges and corners. No keys for locks.
