George III or Regency period, the case in the style of Vulliamy, with a reeded carved marble drum type case raised on an ormolu scroll base over a white marble plinth, the plinth set with a gilt bronze mount of Cupid and Psyche embracing, with a serpent shaped bezel enclosing the gilt, engine turned dial with Roman numerals, the single train, timepiece fusee movement with backplate signed 'Rigby, Charing Cross, LONDON', with winding key,
