A LARGE EARLY 20TH CENTURY SOLID SILVER PRESENTATION CIGAR BOX, C.1916
the antique early 20th Century English Art Nouveau solid silver large presentation cigar box of rectangular-shape, beautifully hand crafted, applied with garland wreaths, acanthus leaf corners and each side with a centered elaborate art nouveau cartouche, one bearing the initials FBB, engraved with leaves and floral boarders on matted silver with a wood lined interior. Dated 1866 - 1916 and engraved 'Jubilee Presentation from the Shareholders of the Windsor & Eton, Permanent Benefit Building Society, to its founder Frances Bowry Buckland Esq, J.P Hallmarked with English silver marks (925 standard), Birmingham, year 1916 (r), Maker V&S (Vaughton & Sons)
