The first edition of this design was published in 1929. The current print was printed in the Reiwa period (2019 - present).

The print is in excellent condition. There is a slight paper imperfection in the upper margin, at the left, but outside of the image itself.

This woodblock print was made with blocks that were recarved during Kawase Hasui’s lifetime. It is form a posthumous edition.

Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) was a Japanese artist. One of the most prominent print designers of the shin-hanga movement, Kawase Hasui is possibly the most renowned Japanese landscape artist of the 20th century.
