Description
Manufactured in the early 1900's in England. Features a 26" blued fluid steel nitro-proofed SxS barrels. Smooth maker marked concave rib with bead front sight and ejectors. Chambered for 2.75" shells, choked cylinder and cylinder. Case-hardened boxlock receiver with vignette edge engraving surrounding pheasant scene on the left panel and pointing dog scene on the right panel. Matching style game hens engraved on the bottom. Receiver appears to have been gold-washed. Blued fully engraved trigger guard with bird scene. Action has double triggers and automatic safety. Figured walnut English style straight grip stock with checkering and raised carved teardrops on wrist panels. Fitted with a silver vanity plate and a solid style recoil pad. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with push button release. Comes in makers marked Abercrombie & Fitch leather luggage style case. CALIBER: 12 Gauge. S/N: 15420. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
Condition
Retains 85% original blued finish, some fading, with pitting mark on the outside of the left barrel. Barrels still exhibit original engine turn at breech. Retain 90% case color with visible areas of gold remaining. Action screws have been turned. Wood shows traces of original varnish with handling marks and light dings. Checkering shows some wear. Excellent bores and mechanics. Case is in good condition with some stitching starting to fray.
