George V Sterling Silver Three Piece Tea Service, each struck to shoulder and underside of lid with makers marks of Barker Brothers Silver Ltd. of Paradise Street, with marks for Birmingham, sterling, and date marks for 1929, the classical form with chased details. Weight: 36.64 ozt. inclusive of handle; 7.75" H x 12" W x 5" D. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
