THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (1994) - Production-Made Portland Daily Bugle Newspaper Cover - A Portland Daily Bugle newspaper cover from the production of Frank Darabont's The Shawshank Redemption. Warden Samuel Norton (Bob Gunton) read a Portland Daily Bugle story about corruption at Shawshank after Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) escaped from the prison.

This Portland Daily Bugle cover, an early version of the final newspaper seen on screen, is dated "Monday, August 1966" with a black-and-white image of an orchestra and several headlines, including "Flying Saucers' Photo Released by Coastguard," printed throughout. The interior and back pages feature filler text and advertisements. The cover is intentionally distressed by production to appear aged with yellowing, fold lines, and staining.
