Description

Vintage c1940 Flying Geese Quilt measuring 67x86". It is comprised of 8 vertical bars of flying geese, 4.5" wide, with 2.25" wide white alternating bars, and 6.5" white border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is a thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. It is in fair condition with several spots, minor color bleeding, 2 fabric deteriorating, and discolorations. The quilt has a certain charm with its wonkiness and not quite right corners. This quilt is from the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
