Description
Southeast Asia, Thailand, Sukhothai period, ca. 14th to early 15th century CE. A wheel-thrown pottery pouring vessel known as a kendi with a broad, piriform body, a wide neck with a flared rim, and a petite spout projecting from the front of the shoulder. The dark-hued vessel exhibits a repeating register of stamped flowers along the shoulder that create a personalized presentation. Size: 10" L x 8.875" W x 11.3" H (25.4 cm x 22.5 cm x 28.7 cm)

Loss to tip of spout as shown. Light abrasions and nicks, with softening to some stamped flowers, light earthen deposits, and 1 perforation atop shoulder, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to overall form.
