Mid Century Oil on Canvas "Garden in Bloom" by Father Lorenzo Capitani (1874-1963), In hand carved wood frame. In frame 30.5"x36"x2". Weight Father Lorenzo Capitani was born in Tuscany, Italy in 1874 and became a ordained priest in Pisa iat the age of 25. He came to America in 1916 and was the parish priest at the Church of Notre Dame, Amsterdam Avenue and 112th Street in NYC. He had an very good art collection and painted Landscapes in upstate NY in his off time. He retired in 1943 and spent the remainder of his years painting full time.
