William E. Hentschel (American, 1892- 1962) Midcentury modern school oil brayer stencil painting on paper. Educated at New York's Art Students' League and the Cincinnati Art Academy. He was a designer and decorator at Rookwood Pottery and taught at the Art Institute of Cincinnati. Framed size 33-1/2" x 28". These pieces are not signed. However, they had been in an exhibit in The Duke Gallery in Birmingham. We think they may have come from the Hentschel estate.
