William E. Hentschel (American, 1892-1962) Midcentury modern school oil brayer stencil painting on paper. Educated at New York's Art Students' League and the Cincinnati Art Academy. He was a decorator and designer at Rookwood Pottery and taught at the Art Institute of Cincinnati. Framed size 28-1/2" x 23".These pieces are not signed. However, they had been in an exhibit in The Duke Gallery in Birmingham. We think they may have come from the Hentschel estate. We feel confident that they are authentic.
