Eight Erie and Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Dining Car Items - Sweetbriar Cup, York Plate, Glass Ashtray, Coasters, Napkins, Drink Stirrer
A mix of dining car items for Erie Railroad and Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. Erie Railroad items include a 2 1/4" coffee cup in the Sweetbriar pattern, side marked with the diamond logo and bottom stamped Made Especially for Erie Railroad Design Patented Buffalo China 1928. The cup shows mild signs of use with a few light scratches on the inside, mild scratches on the outside, and some discoloration along the edge. A 4 3/4" square glass ashtray with white and blue enameled diamond logo at the bottom, showing multiple chips along the inner rim and a chip along the outer bottom right corner. Two packages of 3 1/4" doily coasters and two packages of 5 1/8" napkins, both new old stock showing the E diamond logo. Also includes a 6" plastic swizzle stick or drink stirrer marked Erie Lackawanna on the side in white. The P&LE item is a 10 1/2" dinner plate in the York pattern by Mayer, top marked with the entwined logo and bottom marked Produced for the P&LE Railroad in a Limited Edition of 500 Plates. Reproduction of Logo Used in Late 1800s. Plate Number 103. The plate is not a reproduction but uses a reproduction of the logo from the 1800s and shows minimal signs of use. No other notable chips, cracks, or breaks. See photos for best description.
