BIOGRAPHY:
Son of the sculptor Angelo Gentilini, Armando began to draw early in life, and to help his father with his sculpture work. He was largely self taught, but also studied painting in Italian museums. In 1931, he exhibited in Berlin a nude "Woman in a Mask" which was highly acclaimed. Gentilini settled in Montmartre where he made many drawings and portraits, mostly of women and children. In 1955 The Roussard gallery (7, rue du Mont Cenis ) organized an exhibition, inaugurated by the American actress Kim Novak. Italian painter Armando Angelo Gentilini is also known as Armando Gentilli.
