Description
**Originally Listed At $250**

Ancient Greece, ca. 6th century BCE. A zoomorphic terracotta votive figure in the form of a horned bull, formed using a bivalve mold. The animal is depicted with a powerful, muscular body. This votive model would have been left at an altar or temple, perhaps as a plea to the gods for plentiful harvests, increased strength and virility, or simply for a beloved pet bull that had fallen ill. Size: 3.5" W x 1.85" H (8.9 cm x 4.7 cm)

Provenance: East Coast collection, New York Gallery, New York City, New York, USA, acquired before 2010
