Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec. C. 1950. Pine. A pair of 1960s carvings of an elderly Quebec couple by Paul Emile Caron, St.-John-Port-Joly, Quebec. The bearded man has his pipe in hand,and the woman sports a red kerchief and checkered apron. Both pieces signed "P E Caron" on top rear of base. Woman: 6" x 2" x 1.5". Man: 6" x 1.75" x 1.5". From the Collection of the late Mark Zannis.
