Description
Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) signed letter. A boldly written letter dated May 3, 1907, covering a full page and signed. The letter is to Mrs. Adele Durant Holt (1860-1949) discussing his invitation to the Century Theater Club claiming an attempt to hurt his feeling was made but it did not succeed. A choice letter with interesting content showing off his strong personality. The letter is written in such a way that all content is on one side even with folding.
Condition
This letter was folded many times to fit into the small penny envelope of the day and on those folds on the reverse are pieces of tape holding together some splits. Some wear on the fold lines affecting some prose. w. 7.75" h. 6.1875"
