A lot of two antique colored lithographs from La Lidia Bound Spanish Bull Fighting Magazine, 1886. Both are titled in the print in Spanish, Toreo Alegre, Un Quite Coleando; Happy Bullfighting, A Kicking Quite. Titled in the print, La Lidia, upper to the center. Inscribed, Arenal, 27 Madrid, lower right. Marked in the print, Lit. de J. Palacios, lower left. Signed by the artist in the print, Daniel Perea Rojas, J. Chaves, lower left. Matted. The founder of the oldest bullfighting magazine was called Julian Palacios. Palacios owned an important litho engraving workshop in Madrid which he naturally placed at the service of La Lidia. From the first issue with the famous image of the bullfighters Lagartijo, Cara Ancha, Gallo Chico, Angel Pastor and Manuel Hermosilla.
