Description
An exquisite piece of ancient Egyptian art, this serpentine scarab amulet is a testament to the culture's intricate craftsmanship and religious practices. Scarabs were popular amulets in ancient Egypt, symbolizing the sun god Ra and the idea of rebirth or regeneration. This particular amulet, with its finely detailed carvings, would have served as a protective talisman, perhaps even used in the mummification process to ensure safe passage to the afterlife. The green hues of the serpentine stone were associated with fertility and resurrection, echoing the verdant banks of the Nile.
