Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1540 to 1307 BCE. One of the loveliest scarabs we have had the pleasure of handling. Carved steatite good luck charm with neb, ankhs, lions, plus cartouche. Size: 15mm x 10mm (~0.6" x .0,4")
Provenance: Ex-private Philip Mitry collection, acquired before 1950. Mitry was a noted antiquities dealer in Cairo and imigrated to the US in 1950.
