Description

Marguerite Wildenhain (French/American, 1896-1985). High-fire ceramic stoneware bowl. Copper green glaze along the exterior and a dolomitic matte glaze along the interior. Incised with a jug, "Pond Farm," and "M" along the underside.

Provenance: From the distinguished collection of the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN - proceeds from this sale will benefit their mission.
Height: 5 1/2 in x diameter: 11 in.

Condition

The underside has signs of light wear, consistent with age and use. This includes a chip along the footrim (1/4 inch in length). There are no visible signs of restoration under UV light.
