United States World War II poster with text "Women in the war—WE CAN'T WIN WITHOUT THEM" showing a photographic image of a woman wearing print overalls, holding a power driver working on a parachute M26 aircraft flare. This poster utilized a photograph by Howard R. Hollem of a factory worker named Stephanie Cewe, assembling aircraft flare casings in a former toy factory In New Haven, Connecticut. Poster was published by the War Manpower Commission of Washington D.C and was printed by the Government Printing Office in 1942 as poster O-477830. Poster measures 39" x 28" and exhibits folds, stains, edge/corner taping and some tears. Poster is accompanied by remnants of a "We Gave" label with damage measuring 3.75" x 5".
