This is an amazingly funny item, produced by the Chicago Burlington and Quincy Railroad in 1926, which took the nation by storm. Newspapers around the country in 1926 picked up on this, where the traffic vice-president and the passenger traffic manager of the Burlington Route became engaged in a rather heated discussion of the proper use of the verbs IS and ARE! People all over the USA weighed in on the matter, and the railroad produced this humorous book showing the many discussions and articles about this kerfuffle! Has 32 total pages, and is in excellent condition! No tears or frays. Any CBQ enthusiast should want this item!
