Late Qing to Early Republic Period Chinese Polychrome Glazed Porcelain Statue of Immortal Han Xiangzi

Period of Manufacture: Qing Dynasty (1664-1912) / Early Republic Period (1912-1949)
Dimensions: 9 1/2"(h) x 3 1/2"(w) x 2"(d)
Weight of Figure: 13 ounces
For your consideration is a nice Chinese susancai glazed biscuit porcelain figure. The figure sits upon a hexagonal base decorated with auspicious and/or scholarly symbols. The Immortal is shown carrying his 'dizi', a Chinese flute-like instrument. The figures face has nice form and detail and the figure is marked with a red "China" mark seen on wares circa 1910.
Provenance: From a Retired Military Estate in San Antonio, Texas.
