**Originally Listed At $400**

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Valdivian culture, Formative Period, ca. 2000 to 1500 BCE. A gathering of 3 hand-built pottery heads, each from a different type of female Venus idol figure. Each has minimalist facial features incised along the obverse, 2 of which bearing expressive eyebrows, while the largest head is decorated with a burgundy-hued pigment. Size of largest (red hue): 0.5" L x 1.1" W x 1.6" H (1.3 cm x 2.8 cm x 4.1 cm); 2.9" H (7.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Hawaii, USA collection, acquired from 2000 to 2010; ex-Hans Juergen Westermann collection, Germany

All heads are fragments of larger figures as shown. Each head has light abrasions, small chips, and minor softening to some finer details, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to expressions! Previous inventory label beneath display stand.
