A professional New Deal - Mid-Century mural study painting with Western - California scenes. May be a design meant for a Wells Fargo Bank interior mural. The painting depicts a number of California historical vignettes including, cowboys, a steam train, Black Bart on his horse, Chinese railroad workers, a stage coach, a Wells Fargo sign, wanted posters and Borax Bill with his Camels.
Found at an estate sale in San Francisco 30 years ago. Unsigned.
Gouache with pencil highlights, on paper, laid onto stretched canvas. Framed.

Frame: 10" x 32" (25.5 cm x 81 cm)

CONDITION: Good condition. Professionally laid onto canvas. Contemporary frame with light wear.
